All That Glitters
04:48
|
|||
I’m throwing off all my troubles
Leaving behind all my cares
Focusing on what really matters
And that is why you’re still here
I was tired of being told
by the world that I need more to make me happy
And I’ve always known
all that glitters isn’t gold
but I got caught up, I got tangled in
the same trappings as the others
I’m not immune to those things
but thankfully you came along
pulled me out of my misery
I was tired of being told
That I don’t really fit the mould, I’m not like the others
And I’ve always known
all that glitters isn’t gold but that’s not what I’m after, anyway
I was tired of being told
by the world that I need more to make me happy
And I’ve always known
all that glitters isn’t gold but I got caught up
I was so tired of being told
That I don’t really fit the mould, I’m not like the others
And I’ve always known
all that glitters isn’t gold but that’s not what I’m after, anyway
I’m throwing off all my troubles
Leaving behind all my cares
Focusing on what really matters
And that is why you’re still here

More Than Ever
04:44
|
|||
So many years we’ve been together
So many trials we have endured
I didn’t always think that we’d make it
But somehow we managed to come through
Now I need you more than ever
You are my one and only
I can’t imagine going through this life
Without having you beside me
They told us we were too young
But now it’s almost thirty years on
We’ve weathered our fair share of storms
But somehow we’ve managed to hold on
And now I need you more than ever
You are my one and only
I can’t imagine going through this life
Without having you beside me
Come on baby won't you take my hand
Take my hand and hold on tightly
I can’t imagine going through this life
Without having you beside me

Seasons
04:36
|
|||
Seasons they come, seasons they go
Sometimes we notice, sometimes we don’t
But they’re ever changing, it’s just how it goes
And I’m old enough to have some history behind me
But I’m young enough to know how to feel my soul, oh my soul
And as the seasons come, as they go
We see changes, and we see growth
Sometimes it’s painless, sometimes it hurts you so
And I’m old enough to learn from what’s behind me
But I’m young enough to know how to feel my soul, oh my soul
Said I’m old enough to learn from what’s behind me
But I’m young enough to know how to feel my soul
Said I’m old enough to have some history behind me
But I’m still young enough to know how to feel my soul, oh my soul
Seasons they come, seasons they go
Sometimes we notice, sometimes we don’t
But they’re ever changing, that’s just how it goes

I’ve heard so many things about love
I’ve been let down once or twice before
I’ve heard people go, and blindly make promises
Then the very next day they walk out the door
Well something’s gotta change
Can’t go on this way
Do you hear what I’m saying to you
Somethings gotta change
It can’t stay the same
You know what I’m saying is true
And if you don’t say that you love me
If you don’t show that you care
If you don’t say that you need me
Then I just don’t see us going nowhere
I’ve heard people say there will never be another
Then the very next day they’re out on the prowl
Well I’ve promised myself I won’t be no-one’s fool
So if you can’t give me your all you’d better leave now
Well something’s gotta change
Can’t go on this way
Do you hear what I’m saying to you
Somethings gotta change
It can’t stay the same
You know what I’m saying is true
And if you don’t say that you love me
If you don’t show that you care
If you don’t say that you need me
Then I just don’t see us going nowhere
No I just don’t see us going nowhere
I just don’t see us going nowhere

Communicate
04:48
|
|||
Can I talk to you?
There are some things that I just got to say
And I need to talk to you
need to get it all off my chest and
I think we’ve lost our way
Forgotten how it is we used to be
Can I talk to you?
I keep going over all of the same things
And I need to talk to you
need to tell you how it is that I’m feeling
I think we’ve lost our way
Forgotten how it is we used to be
we used to be
And if you just give me some of your precious time
I promise I will also give you some of mine
And I’m sure you and I will find our way again
if we both just give it a try and communicate
Communicate
So, can I talk to you?
I really think that it will be for the best
And I need to talk to you
Need to get it all out in the open
It seems we’ve lost our way
Forgotten how it is we used to be
we used to be
And if you just give me some of your precious time
I promise I will also give you some of mine
And I’m sure you and I will find our way again
if we both just give it a try…
And communicate
Communicate
Talk to me baby
Communicate

Nobody Knows
06:36
|
|||
Nobody knows what you’re going through,
what’s surrounding you at this time
Nobody understands the depths of your pain
as it claws at your heart and mind
Nobody knows what it is you feel
as you navigate these new waters
And nobody sees what you bear each day
and how pain is your constant companion
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows the ache within your soul
or the sense of dread that you find
As you wake each of every day
and reality falls on your shoulders
Nobody sees your back against the wall
As you try to brace yourself
For the onslaught of emptiness
and the loss of your foundations
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
No-one can really know
Nobody knows

Blue Morning Light
04:52
|
|||
I lay on my side and stare out the window
Silently watch the moving shadows
Familiar sounds float through the air
And return me to the here and now
The blue morning light always draws me
Into a world that’s make-believe
Familiar sounds float through the air
And return me to the here and now
You should be laying here beside me
With your arms around me, but you’re gone, babe, you’re gone
Now all I have are these cold, cold sheets
And the dog laying at my feet
So, I stay on my side and stare out the window
Keep taking in the morning shadows
As familiar sounds float through the air
And return me to the here and now
You should be laying here beside me
Your arms around me, but you’re gone, babe, you’re gone
Now all I have are these cold, cold sheets
And the dog laying at my feet
And the blue morning light has faded to yellow
And it’s my mind that’s in the shadows
But familiar sounds float through the air
And return me to the here and now
Familiar sounds, they float through the air
And return me to the here and now

Better Days
04:24
|
|||
I know just how it feels,
yeah, I’ve been there before
I thought I could get no lower
then I found another floor
I know just how it feels
when you’re on your own
Surrounded by well-meaning people
but feeling so alone
But there are better days
coming right for you
Yeah there are better days
I know that you’ll get through
I know just how it feels
to have no sunshine in your day
When heaviness descends upon you
and those clouds won’t go away
Yeah I know just how it feels
your mind always playing games
when second-guessing becomes the norm
and you feel slightly insane
But there are better days
coming right for you
Yeah there are better days
know that you’ll get through
And when those better days come
you know you can start anew
Bring on those better days
they’re coming right for you
There will be better days for you x4

I like to sleep on the right side of bed
so, when I get up I can face the west
and that means that the sun and its rays
will fall on my back instead of my face
Oh, I like to sleep and rise on the right side of bed
I like to start the day eating the same things
for my breakfast, no, I don’t like to change
though I have been known to drink up
an OJ instead of a coffee and eat fruit in season
It’s better that way
Some things I really don’t like to change
Some things are better when they stay the same
I like to see it as the glass half full
not half empty, no I tend to choose
to always look for the best I can see
in those around me but sometimes
it can be my undoing - that glass half full
Oh, but that’s just what I do
Yeah maybe you can do it do
Some things I really don’t like to change
Some things are better when they stay the same

Wasting Time
03:38
|
|||
Driving along in my car just wasting time
The windows are down and my arm’s soakin’ up sunshine
I got my new shoes on and everything is feeling fine
I open it up as I head onto the highway
I got nowhere to be any time soon, I’m ready to play
I got my new shoes on and everything is feeling ok
It’s so good to be out on the road
and see the landscape changin, changin
My mind starts to clear as I
let all my troubles fade away
So I’ll keep driving along in my car just wastin’ time
and the warm Summer breeze on my skin really helps me unwind
I got my new shoes on and everything is feeling fine
I got my new shoes on and everything is feeling fine
I got my new shoes on and everything is feeling fine

Get You Moving
04:03
|
|||
Let’s see if we can get you moving
We’re gonna get your toes tapping
‘cause when that music gets a hold of you
You’ll be surprised what it can do
‘cause it will
start way down in your toes but that’s not where it ends
Make you swing your hips in time over and over again
Then before you realise your hands are joining in
So, let your body move to the beat, let it move my friend
My friend
Let’s see if we can get you grooving
We’re gonna set your soul flying
You don’t need no dance floor, no
You just groove right where you are
‘cause it will
start way down in your toes but that’s not where it ends
Make you swing your hips in time over and over again
Then before you realise your hands are joining in
So, let your body move to the beat, let it move my friend
My friend
Let it move my friend
